Wiggle Waggle Walk for Wildlife

AGC Animal

Sanctuary

A no kill Sanctuary that provides rescue and care for all types of wildlife in Illinois.  Wildlife is released back to God’s nature whenever possible, but if they are unable to they will have a forever home with us!

Our Mission

AGC Sanctuary will take in and care for all wildlife, supplying medical attention when necessary.  Upon successful rehabilitation, wildlife will be released back into the wild.  For creatures that are unable to be rehabilitated, AGC Sanctuary will provide a safe haven of protection for them for the rest of their lives.

Besides providing a refuge for animals and birds, AGC Sanctuary strives to help people who are struggling to find their wildlife whether released or cared for on site are always welcome. Sponsorship can be given on a monthly or yearly basis.  We never adopt our wild animals for pets to individuals.  Wildlife are not pets and should never be treated as such, always respect their wildness.

Educational programs are available for all age groups.  Call the Sanctuary for all the details and an appointment.

Recognition Plaques

What are Recognition Plaques?

For a donation of $500, $1,000 or larger, you can have your name or that of a loved one, engraved on a brass plaque.  These can also be “In Memory of” or “In Dedication to” for a beloved pet or family member as well.  These plaques will be displayed on our honor wall in the lobby of our Sanctuary for everyone to see.

Your donations will help us further our work by supplying us with the necessary funds to care for all our 4-legged and winged guests in ways of housing, food and medical needs.  Donations are tax deductible.

Sponsorships

Sponsorships are offered for all our wildlife animals.  There is a lot of expense that occurs when caring for wildlife.  Our wildlife are all tested for parasites and given preventative vaccinations to assure their safe release back into their nature.  When conditions exist that prevent the wildlife from being released back to the wild, they will be able to live out their natural lives with us at the Sanctuary.  Sponsorship for all wildlife whether released or cared for on site are always welcome. Sponsorship can be given on a monthly or yearly basis.  We never adopt our wild animals for pets to individuals.  Wildlife are not pets and should never be treated as such, always respect their wildness.

Wildlife Precaution

When dealing with wildlife please take care not to unnecessarily disturb them.  Always be very quiet and calm around wildlife.  Many people do not realize that mothers often times leave their young during the day/night to keep predators away or to feed themselves.  If you suspect that a wild baby is an orphan, please make sure by observing it first before making contact.  Always keep noise to a minimum when observing, noise is very stressful to wildlife.  NEVER give injured wildlife human medications; this is a death sentence for animals and birds.  Many wildlife carry diseases that can be transmitted to man, so know what you are doing to protect yourself and our wonderful wildlife. If you need assistance with any situation please feel free to contact the Sanctuary at any time.  We have educated rescuers with state and federal license to keep both man and animals safe and protected.   Call Jennifer with emergencies at 275-0924.
