Gregg has obtained $7,000.00 in sponsorship for the festival so far.  The committee has received several entries for design of the buttons and will be looking at them at the next committee meeting on July 28, 2004 at 6:00 p.m.  At their last meeting, a guest speaker that had organized a cruise night in Freeport spoke about the requirements to hold a cruise night.  It was thereafter decided that a cruise night would not be featured in the festival, but may be a fundraiser that PIA would like to explore for another time.  Joan Cunningham reported that the Legion will be working with PIA on the beer tent.  She also passed out a proposed map for the festival and sponsorship information.  The festival will likely be called the Peeketolika Festival.  PIA would like to thank the current sponsors for their generosity.  They include Deans Foods, Ferguson Agency, US Bank, Pecatonica Pharmacy, German American Bank, Top Notch and OSF St. Anthony.  Anyone wishing to sponsor or co-sponsor an event should contact C.J. Gregg at 248-4198 or Joy Seaton at 239-1131.
