Summer Festival Committee: Much more help is needed. Janet Fuenty reported that at the Village Board meeting on April 5, the Village determined that it does not have a license that would allow a current license holder to serve beer and wine off their premises and the Board was concerned that if PIA or a current license holder had to apply for a different license the process may not be completed prior to the date of the festival. The Village is going to work with PIA to resolve the problem. In the meantime, it is unclear whose liquor license PIA will be able to use. Dram shop insurance will cost $252.00. Don Sandell moved to approve the expenditure for dram shop insurance. Laura seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The Village has given PIA permission to close Third Street from J&J’s to John Street. The set up of the festival has been planned and mapped. The committe is attempting to get another colonial re-enactment group to participate. The next festival committee meeting next meeting is May 16th at 6:00 p.m. in the US Bank Community Room and will occur every other Monday until the festival (June 24 and 25). During these final weeks, the committee would greatly appreciate additional members, input and assistance.
