Our Fall T.O.S.O.C. (Tour of Scenic Ogle County)
is a one-day ride through lightly traveled country roads in northern Illinois.
This ride features many of the favorite routes of the Blackhawk Bicycle & Ski Club members. All four rides - the 25, 50, 75 & 100
mile routes - will lead you through beautiful countryside, quaint towns, and forest river valleys. So choose
the route that's best for you and join us for a fall ride in the country.

25 & 50 Mile Rides...
Rolling countryside, quaint towns, and a scenic view along the Kishwaukee and Rock River valleys
sets the stage for these two shorter rides designed to help ensure all levels of participation.
Registration and check-in 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
75 & 100 Mile Rides...
Shift into high gear for the 75 or 100 mile trek through the rolling countryside of Ogle County. You'll
enjoy a scenic view of Blackhawk statue overlooking the Rock River Valley. The 100 mile route passes
historical Grand Detour, birthplace of John Deere. Both the 75 & 100 mile routes have rolling and some
steeper hills. Registration and check-in 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Strongly encourage that 100 mile riders begin
by 8 a.m. (Note that dinner is served only until about 4 p.m., so plan your ride accordingly.)
Excellent Support Provided
Rest stops are well stocked with drinks, high-energy snacks and baked goodies. A detailed map and
cue sheet, sag wagons and exceptionally well-marked routes are what you can always expect from the
Blackhawk Bicycle and Ski Club. A spaghetti dinner with salad will be served at the end of the ride (included
in registration fee). Dinner served from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Showers will be available at the highschool. Bring your own towel!
