Biography

From his humble origins as a set of anatomical push pins kids poked into real potatoes, this spudly fellow has become the most talked-about tater of all times. Equally beloved by the MTV generation and their nostalgia-hungry parents, Mr. Potato Head is clearly a classic -- so much so that in his 40+ years of existence he's gained a wife, a dozen children ("small fries"), and almost a bushel full of accessories.

In 1987, Mr. Potato Head served as the official "Spokespud" of the American Cancer Society's Great American Smokeout, and received accolades from the White House for putting down his pipe and taking up exercise in its place.

He even has a leading role in Disney's computer animated feature, Toy Story.
